Murph-a-palooza 2016!



We'll be taking this annual event to the next level this year! "Murph-a-palooza 2016" Saturday, May 28th at 1:30pm


If you weren't in this picture last year; Murph is a hero wod workout in memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy who gave his life to the service of our country in 2005. This workout consists of the following:

For time: 1 mile Run 100 Pull-ups 200 Push-ups 300 Squats 1 mile Run Rx+ wear a weighted vest


Our gym tackles this hero wod every Memorial Day. This year we'll be Rx+'ing everything!

Our workout will kick off at Matt Spitler's house (85 Montrose Way). We'll start our 1 mile run (uphill) to the gym, knock out our 100/200/300 and run/death-march the last mile (downhill) back to Matt's house. When crossing the finish line you'll see a utopia of slip n' slides, an ice bath recovery truck, WATER, recovery drinks and recovery food. We'll have a DJ pumping out inspirational jams at the beginning of the race and at the finish line and will carry us on into our after-party! Adult beverages will be on hand along with games and any other shenanigans! Did we forget to mention slip n' slide races?!

For everyone's safety, we'll have traffic cops blocking traffic at Dunedin, Dunedin and High and Oakland Park at Indianola.

Parking for the event will be first available/most convenient. We encourage car pooling/ubering/cabbing. Remember, the race FINISHES at 85 Montrose Way.

Registration for CFC members is $40. Registration for any non-CFC members is $50.
